Public awareness campaigns, programs and workshops aim to empower the target groups. There is a lot of scope for upliftment when strategy is laid with right objectives and focus.
Community Service
PES has been addressing the needs of the poor and marginal rural communities through various development initiatives like digging of drinking water bore-wells across the villages to provide the people, safe drinking water. Cleaning and chlorination of drinking water wells and other animal husbandry programmes have been widely organized across the areas towards empowering the life of rural communities.
Employment
Enhancing livelihood among the young people living in the rural areas PES has facilitated vocational, skill development and ITES trainings Telangana & Andhra Pradesh. Such trainings have built trainees confidence levels to cope up with the acute poverty levels. SHG's activities have been facilitated for women and other sections of youth. The interventions have not only provided the women an opportunity to save their hard earnings but also to access credits and loans to start their own enterprises.
Innovation
In view of the declining shift of practices of traditional livelihood culture among the various communities in the area, PES has taken an initiative to promote traditional livelihoods among the Toddy Tappers, Barbers, cobblers and Potters. We provided them adequate knowledge on the latest technologies for enhancing their trading and productivity levels with modernized tools. Other networks are also introduced for financial support from various finances corporations and banks had been arranged.
Environment
To create massive environment awareness among the rural communities on the effectiveness of technological advancement and science. PES has organized various awareness meetings, scientific awareness camps in schools, colleges and village levels on environment protection, plantation and global warming and climate change. ToTs are also organised for teachers and NGO’s on Climate change and its challenges in future. While, we organized Eco Walks in collaboration with Energy Conservation Mission since 2011 to 2013.
Public Healthcare
PES has facilitated various Health related project interventions towards promoting healthy living standards of the communities. Reproductive Child Health Care interventions have widely facilitated health accessibility across the rural communities. The interventions have focused on formation and strengthening of Mahila Arogya Sanghas. Apart from this the other supplemental activities like health camps, awareness programmes on health reproductive rights, immunization camps and linkages building interventions with hospitals and community, HIV/AIDS awareness and sensitization, distribution of condoms to the truck drivers, migration construction workers have been in the process of interventions.
Education
Child rights, Environmental Education and Books and school uniform distribution programmes and Adolescent Girl Child Education programmes were conducted. Also residential special training centres for drop out children are the highlights.
